Saudi Arabia has reiterated its dedication to fostering global peace and security at the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan emphasized the Kingdom’s commitment to dialogue and mediation in addressing both regional and global challenges.
In his remarks, Prince Faisal underscored the importance of international institutions in maintaining peace and upholding international law, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s role in supporting diplomatic initiatives related to conflicts in Ukraine, Gaza, and other regions. The Kingdom is advocating for the respect of state sovereignty, the peaceful resolution of disputes, and the freedom of navigation through international waterways.
As part of its participation, Saudi Arabia is also focusing on the advancement of artificial intelligence and sustainable development. The Kingdom seeks to promote the responsible use of AI to enhance efficiency and stimulate innovation, aligning with its Vision 2030 initiative aimed at diversifying the economy and fostering new economic sectors.
Saudi Arabia, a United Nations member since 1945, continues to leverage multilateral forums to engage with international issues. The current UN session serves as an opportunity for the Kingdom to reinforce its support for cooperative efforts that address shared global challenges, from technological progress to sustainable development goals.
