The Cabinet’s discussion also touched on regional security, with a focus on the ongoing conflict involving the Houthis. They welcomed the United Nations Security Council’s condemnation of the escalating attacks against Saudi Arabia attributed to the Houthis. Additionally, the Cabinet addressed the Palestinian issue, reiterating Saudi Arabia’s position on the necessity of a two-state solution. They condemned actions affecting the status of Al-Aqsa Mosque and reaffirmed the call for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The meeting further reviewed Saudi Arabia’s engagement in international diplomacy, notably its participation in the United Nations General Assembly.
